Biomedical Informatics Research
Biomedical Informatics is a broad field. The mission statement of the Biomedical Informatics Program describes the training focus and research strengths of the program in the context of the field.
Faculty research in Biomedical Informatics is spread throughout all of the Schools of the University. This directory is a partial listing of faculty who have a record of mentoring students in the BMI program. The list fluctuates as faculty develop new projects or as new faculty join the University.
The best way to use this directory is as a guide. The faculty and projects described here fall clearly within the funded mission of the biomedical informatics program. However, this does not preclude other projects or faculty members who are not listed here.
Please see the "Research Directory" on the navigation bar on the left.
Faculty Listing (alphabetical) - includes links to faculty homepages
List of Research Topics - broad categorization of faculty research projects
Featured Projects - some large projects have multiple faculty affiliated with the project
Note to Faculty: If you are a member of the Stanford faculty with research projects that focus on the development of computational methodology applied to high impact problems in the realm of biomedicine and you are not listed here, you may wish to contact the Biomedical Informatics Executive Committee.
