Application Process

Stanford undergraduates interested in applying for the Coterminal MS program in Biomedical Informatics should consult the latest issue of the Stanford Bulletin for the University's requirements for coterminal programs. Fill out the co-terminal application form which is available in the Registrar's website and pay the application fee of $50. Co-term applicants should not complete the formal Graduate Admissions application form. Please refer to the Registrar's webpage for detailed information about the co-term application process.

This year's deadline is December 17, 2007.

Please submit your co-term application, supplemental application, letters, transcripts, scores, and resume to:

Checklist of additional required application materials:

FORMAL CO-TERM APPLICATION
Complete and submit the co-terminal application directly to the BMI Admissions Officer.

Statement of Purpose
Please include a statement of purpose describing your reasons for pursuing a degree in the Biomedical Informatics program. The statement should be clear and concise.

Supplemental Application
The SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION FORM is available through the BMI website. Print and send as a hard copy with the transcripts, copies of test scores, and CV.

Letters of Recommendation
Please submit at least two letters of recommendation (but no more than four) from faculty members who are familiar with your academic or research progress. The faculty member should send the letter directly to the BMI program Admissions Officer.

GRE scores
GRE's are encouraged but not required. If the student chooses to take the GRE, a copy of the scores should be sent to the BMI program.

Transcripts and Curricular Vitae
An updated curricular vitae (resume) and transcripts from Stanford and other previously attended universities must be submitted directly to the BMI program.
